How to help

Click on your representative on the right.  This will take you to the contact portion of their website. You may be asked to confirm that you are a resident of their state. To make things simple, copy and paste the information below as part of your message. Thank you for you dedication and advocacy!

I am contacting you on behalf of the thousands of students who currently experience lunch shaming throughout the country on a daily basis while in our schools.  Lunch shaming occurs when a student is given an alternative lunch, no lunch at all, or is branded in order to encourage parents to pay a debt to the school.  Through no fault of their own, these students are being embarrassed, humiliated, and sometimes deprived of food at school. The No Shame At School Act of 2022 is currently with your committee. I am requesting that you talk about the lunch shaming crisis with your colleagues and take action.  Legislation is desperately needed in order to help these students who are unable to help themselves. Thank you for helping to end lunch shaming. More information on lunch shaming can be found at www.endlunchshaming.com
